Loch Lomond is one of the most outstanding modern courses in Scotland. Designed by Tom Weiskopf in 1994, it is widely regarded as a truly great golfing challenge. Set in parkland on the ancestral home of Clan Colquhoun, and framed by towering hills and the loch around, it hosts the Scottish Open played each year prior to the Open in July. Its magnificent fairways boast the longest hole in Scottish golf - the 6th - a 625 yard, par 5, running right alongside Loch Lomond itself.
